First, I believe terrorism is wrong. there Women and children are usually the first victims of terrorism, war and injustice. Make no mistake, it is a crime against humanity. When terrorism strikes, fear can make us captives. Fear paralyzes and divides people. So, let us all remain strong and confident that terrorism "will not separate us." We must embrace diversity instead of allowing hatred to divide us, our goals should be to feed starving people and supply clean water,we should heal the sick, and care for the needy both at home and around the world. We must remain steadfast in spreading good will around the world. Keep the faith because our good works will bring change. My heart and prayers go out to all those whose lives were shattered by the events of that day. Together we can stop terrorism by celebrating our differences, strengthen our communities in ways that promote respect and appreciation for all people and share common humanity.
Love Shelley I was reading about the Mumbai attacks and found this statement by Deepak Chopra that I want to share : "What we have seen in Mumbai has been brewing for a long time, and the war on terrorism and the attack on Iraq compounded the situation. What we call 'collateral damage' and going after the wrong people actually turns moderates into extremists, and that inflammation then gets organized and appears as this disaster in Bombay. Now the worst thing that could happen is there's a backlash on the Muslims from the fundamental Hindus in India, which then will perpetuate the problem. Inflammation will create more inflammation."
