Kate Winslet Saves Richard Branson's 90 Year Old Mother (Eve) from Burning House Aug 27, 2011

Kate Winslet: 'All that matters is the people you love'

We've been talking all week about the fire on Sunday that destroyed Richard Branson's Caribbean home. Kate Winslet has become a hero for helping carry Branson's 90-year-old mother, Eve, out of the burning house watching the flames, and saying, 'At the end of the day, what you realize is that all that matters is the people that you love. Everything else is just stuff. And none of that stuff matters."

Added Branson, "The day after the fire, Kate, myself and my children Holly and Sam went up to the ruins of what was the Great House. To our absolute delight walking across the ashes was Necker's pet tortoise. None of us could understand how anything could have survived that inferno, and (tortoise) will have pride of place in the new Great House once it's built."
